Case Description
On February 28, 2024, a criminal case was opened in Moscow for justifying terrorism against 65-year-old local resident, pensioner Galina Archagova. According to the security forces, the woman, being a supporter of the Ukrainian paramilitary association "Legion of Freedom of Russia, posted a video recording with comments on her page in the social network "VKontakte, containing signs of justifying terrorism. February 29, 2024, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, chose a measure of restraint for Archagova in the form of detention. 27 February 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Galina Archagova guilty but released her from criminal liability, ruling to apply compulsory medical measures to her. The court's decision was not appealed and entered into legal force.
