Kurbangaleeva Farida Rashidovna

In Moscow, no later than June 17, 2024 (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case was opened for "fakes" about the Russian army motivated by political hatred and public calls and justification of terrorism against journalist Farida Kurbanghalieva and nationalist, volunteer of the "Freedom of Russia" legion, Aleksey Baranovskiy. The reason for the criminal prosecution was an interview that Kurban Galeeva took with Baranovsky. Interview published on May 3, 2024 on the journalist's YouTube channel. According to the investigation, in it Kurbanghaleeva said that she "considers the activities of organizations recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation to be correct." The journalist left Russia and lives in Prague. She was put on the wanted list. Baranovsky moved to Kyiv in 2013. He was also put on the wanted list. On June 26, 2024, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow placed Kurbangalieva under arrest in absentia. On June 27, 2024, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow placed Baranovsky under house arrest in absentia. In February 2025, it became known that the Russian Prosecutor General's Office sent an extradition request for Kurbanghalieva to the Czech Republic.
