Lubenets Evgeniy Sergeevich (Lubenets Yevgen Sergiyovich)

In the occupied part of the Donetsk region, a citizen of Ukraine, a shooter from the 46th separate airborne assault brigade of the armed formations of Ukraine, 42-year-old Yevgeny Lubents, fell into the hands of Russian servicemen. A criminal case was opened against him for murder on the grounds of political and ideological hatred, as well as for cruel treatment of the civilian population and the use of prohibited methods in an armed conflict. The date of his capture is unknown. According to the Russian investigation, in late November 2024, in the city of Kurakhovo, Lubenets, having left the combat positions after his unit was destroyed, met a local resident. Due to his pro-Russian stance, Lubinets shot him with an AK-74 assault rifle in the basement of a private house. The victim died at the scene from his injury. On October 29, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic found Yevgeny Lubents guilty and sentenced him to 21 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.
