В Мелитополе оккупированной части Запорожской области 15 мая 2024 года похитили местную жительницу, гражданку Украины Елену Мешкову. Долгое время о ней ничего не было известно. По непроверенным данным, она находилась в СИЗО Таганрога, а затем её поместили в Лефортово.
Не позднее мая 2025 года Елены вынесли приговор — какой суд вынес решение, а также подробности и статьи обвинения неизвестны.
