Case Description
In the occupied Luhansk region, no later than February 2022, a criminal case was opened against a citizen of Ukraine and Russia, former medic of the medical service of the 24th separate assault battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces "Aidar, Yekaterina Kuzmenko (Korshik), for participation in a terrorist community. According to the Russian investigation, from August 2015 to February 2017, Kuzmenko served in the 24th separate assault battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Aydar" as a medical service nurse. Since March 1, 2022, she has been under house arrest. October 6, 2023, the Southern Military District Court found Ekaterina Kuzmenko guilty and sentenced her to imprisonment in a penal colony-settlement, the length of the sentence is unknown. January 24, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
