Case Description
Alexeyev, a 36-year-old resident of the Mirninsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and an employee of the diamond mining company Dylusa, was detained in early July 2024 on charges of treason. According to law enforcement officials, the man allegedly transferred cryptocurrency to the Legion 'Freedom of Russia' - an armed association fighting on the side of Ukraine. According to the FSB, the Yakut joined the "Legion" group on social networks and received instructions from "curators of the Kyiv regime" to transfer money "to the crypto wallet of the enemy unit. The man was sent to a pre-trial detention center. On November 25, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) found Dylus Alekseyev guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in prison in a strict regime colony. 2 October 2025, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation toughened the sentence at the prosecutor's request to 12 years in a strict regime.
