While in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region, the Ukrainians "carried out intimidation and threats against the local population, occupied private houses with the threat of using weapons, prohibited the movement of civilians, and repeatedly opened fire on Russian military personnel and civilians." "On February 11, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Dmitry Pilay to 15 years of imprisonment with the first 3 years to be served in prison, and the rest in a strict regime penal colony, and Alexander Sereda to 16 years with the first 3 years to be served in prison, and the rest in a strict regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
