January 29, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Dmitry Mikheyev guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in prison, with the first 5 years to be served in prison, and the remaining term in a strict regime correctional colony, with a 1.5-year restriction of freedom. July 22, 2025, the Appellate Military Court reduced the sentence by 3 months.
