Case Description
In December 2022 (exact date unknown), a criminal case was opened in the Tomsk region for "fakes" about the Russian army against Dmitry Kolmakov, a 38-year-old resident of the village of Kargasok (writes on social networks under the name Dexter Morgan). After the start of the war, he left for Ukraine. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a post on VKontakte about the actions of Russian military personnel in Bucha. In April 2023, it became known that a case was opened against Kolmakov for publicly justifying terrorism. Later, information appeared that criminal cases were also opened against him for aiding terrorist activities and for calls for activities aimed against state security. In connection with the last case, security forces detained the man's mother, after interrogation she was released. According to the investigation, in September 2022, he published a post "the content of which is aimed at inducing an indefinite circle of persons to incitement to commit acts aimed at the destruction, destruction of state structures." According to him, the case was initiated because of a tweet with the words "Here's a life hack: If you don't want to die, burn down the military enlistment office... And the administration, bailiffs, various courts... you get the idea. Peaceful protests will not solve anything. A case of 'assisting terrorist activity' was initiated due to his alleged attempt to recruit a friend, I.I., into the 'Freedom of Russia' legion. Bengel. According to the investigation, the recruitment of the man was carried out in Telegram. Kolmakova was put on the wanted list. Bengel's whereabouts are unknown.
