Case Description
1. In the Amur Region, a criminal case was opened against Dmitry Alimberov, an excavator operator from the village of Solovyevsk, on charges of justifying terrorism and calls for extremism. The date of the initiation of the criminal case is unknown. There is no information about Alimberov's detention. The details of the charges are unknown. Earlier, pro-government media reported that Alimberov allegedly called for the destruction of important facilities in the Amur Region on Instagram: hydroelectric power plants, oil refineries, and even the cosmodrome. On July 26, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Alimberov guilty and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment in a penal colony-settlement with a ban on posting materials on the Internet. The verdict was not appealed and entered into force.
