A criminal case was opened against him for committing a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, resulting in significant damage. According to the Russian investigation, on December 7, 2024, Nikitchenko, armed with F-1 grenades and an assault rifle, as part of a unit, illegally invaded Russian territory. Near the village of Darino in the Sudzhansky district, he "participated in blocking the settlement, hindered the evacuation of civilians, and also opened fire on Russian servicemen and local residents." 4. On July 18, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Bogdan Nikitchenko guilty and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment.[1][2][3] He must serve the first three years in prison, and the remaining part in a strict regime correctional colony.
