Case Description
On April 16, 2025, Bogdan Mironyuk was detained again. He was accused of treason. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a repost of a post by the hacker group CyberSec's in Instagram stories with calls to carry out DDoS attacks on Russia's banking system. At the request of the investigation, the court placed the man in custody. In the spring of 2022, a 30-year-old local resident, a native of Vinnytsia region, Ukraine, Bogdan Mironyuk, was detained in the city of Gadzhiyevo, Murmansk region. He was accused of public calls for extremist activities. The reason for the criminal prosecution was anti-war posts on Instagram. What exactly the man wrote is unknown. For the duration of the investigation, a preventive measure was taken against the defendant in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. August 15, 2022, the Polyarny City Court of the Murmansk Region found Bogdan Mironyuk guilty and sentenced him to 1.5 years of imprisonment conditionally. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
