Case Description
In Tyumen in early February 2024, 33-year-old local resident, paramedic of emergency medical care Andrey Gilishev was detained. He was accused of vandalism motivated by political hatred and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, Gilishev participated in the activities of the 'Freedom of Russia' legion from December 2023 to February 2024. The man allegedly filled out a questionnaire on the organization's website, after which someone who introduced himself as "Pavel" contacted him. On February 6, 2024, the Central District Court of Tyumen placed the doctor in custody. On December 24, 2024, the Central Military District Court found Andrey Gilishev guilty and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment, four of which he will spend in prison, and the remaining in a strict regime colony.
