Case Description
In Starobelsk, occupied part of Luhansk, a criminal case was initiated against local resident, Ukrainian citizen Andrey Gayduchenko for participation in a terrorist organization. The date of his detention is unknown. According to the Russian investigation, in January 2019, Gayduchenko voluntarily joined the assault battalion "Aydar. In his position as a shooter, he participated in combat operations in Donbass against the People's Militia and the militia. After the start of the special military operation, he participated in shelling the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. 5 September 2025, the Southern Military Court found Andrey Gaiduchenko guilty. He was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
