Case Description
In Melitopol, the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, local resident Anatoly Minakov, a Ukrainian citizen with forced Russian citizenship, was detained no later than July 2025. He was accused of treason. According to the FSB's version, Minaka, working as a security guard at one of the medical institutions in Melitopol, in June and July 2024, photographed pages of a medical journal on his phone." 2. The magazine contained personal data of patients and staff. He passed this information to a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces through his son, who was in the territory controlled by Ukraine. The security forces believe that the information could have been used by the enemy to carry out sabotage using toxic substances or infectious agents. The defendants in the case were placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. On January 23, 2026, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Court found Anatoly Minakov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime colony with an additional restriction of freedom for 1 year.
