Case Description
In Omsk, at the end of July 2024, a criminal case was opened against a local 71-year-old resident, pensioner Alexey Morozov, on charges of justifying terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was his post on VKontakte, published in the summer of 2023. According to law enforcement officials, Morozov shared a link to a story from the Ukrainian channel FREEDOM "Belgorod: Who are the 'Legion of Free Russia' and the RDK?" and commented: "Spread this video and write comments so that Putin's serfs, police, and other Putin-United Russia-Jewish devils know that they will definitely be held accountable for all the atrocities both in Ukraine and in Russia, especially Putin's police-criminals." "For the duration of the investigation, the pensioner was placed under a written undertaking not to leave. On December 18, 2024, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Alexei Morozov guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 300 thousand." rubles.
