Case Description
On January 3, 2023, a search was conducted at the homes of local activists Roman Shport and Alexey Isakov in Moscow." 3. A criminal case was opened against them for aiding terrorist activities. According to the investigation, Shport and Isakov were engaged in pasting leaflets in the Piatniki area, which contained a QR code calling for joining the "Russian Volunteer Corps. 4 January 2023 the Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow chose a measure of restraint for both in the form of detention. Later, the charge was reclassified to justifying terrorism. January 15, 2024, the 2nd Western District Military Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Roman Shport to two years and three months and Alexei Isakov to two years in a penal colony-settlement. On March 18, 2024, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
