Vragov Aleksandr Aleksandrovich

Local residents Alexander Vragov and Kamil Abdikanov were detained in the village of Volzhsky in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Samara region in early October 2023. According to the investigation, on September 2, 2023, Vragov and Abdykanov, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, having the intent to insult the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, approached a tank T-80 installed on a pedestal as a monument, where they "publicly expressed blatant disrespect and insult to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland": they danced, shouted slogans, and then defecated on the monument to the participants of the war in Ukraine. For the duration of the preliminary investigation, the Krasnoyarsk District Court of the Samara Region placed Abdikhanov and Vragov under arrest. On April 1, 2024, the Samara Regional Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced Alexander Vragov and Kamil Abdykanov to one year and nine months and one and a half years in a penal colony respectively. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
