Case Description
On March 31, 2025, in Blagoveshchensk, Amur Region, 64-year-old local resident Alexander Shevchuk was detained. He was accused of calling for terrorism. According to the investigation, on May 4, 2023, Shevchuk left a comment under a post about a drone attack on the Kremlin in the Telegram channel "Blagoveshchensk No. 1": "Right! Until they seriously hit Rublyovka or the Kremlin, they will keep playing with toy soldiers! Putin will give his word that he will not 'touch' the drug addict in Kyiv and all those who come to him and calmly walk around the city! They will keep the troops at the front on "shell hunger"!" In the same discussion, Shevchuk wrote that he believed in the founder of the "Wagner PMC" Yevgeny Prigozhin. On April 2, 2024, the court sent the man to a remand prison. On September 22, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Alexander Shevchuk guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment. The size of the punishment is unknown.
