Case Description
On March 27, 2022, a search was conducted at the home of local blogger Alexander Nozdrínov (Sanya Novokubansk) in Novokubansk, Krasnodar Krai." Also, searches were conducted in Armavir of blogger Dmitry Bubenko and activist Igor (last name unknown). According to Dmitry Bubenko's testimony, the search was conducted harshly: 'I hadn't even reached the door when they broke it down and 12 people burst into the apartment. They conducted a very harsh search and broke the toilet. I offered to voluntarily hand over all data storage devices - flash drives and gadgets, but the security forces still turned all the things upside down. Searches were conducted as part of a case on the dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the armed forces of Russia, which was initiated due to a publication in the Telegram channel 'Sanya Novokubansk.' 4. At the same time, Bubenko is not involved in the case as either a witness or a suspect, and blogger and journalist Aleksandr Nozdrinov was serving an administrative arrest at the time of the search. According to the investigation, Nozdrinov published a post in the Telegram channel "Sanya Novokubansk" with photographs of a bombed multi-story building in Kyiv and the caption "Ukrainian cities after the arrival of the liberators. The investigation accused Alexander of allegedly receiving one thousand rubles for anti-war posts. Investigators came to this conclusion based on the testimony of a secret witness. According to Nozdrnov himself, he was unaware of the existence of the Telegram channel in which he allegedly published 'fakes'. According to the blogger, the case against him was fabricated because of his anti-corruption videos. On March 29, the Novokubansky District Court sent Nozdrinov to a pre-trial detention center. On September 29, 2023, Judge Marina Aladyeva of the Novokubansk District Court of the Krasnodar Territory found Alexander Nozdrinov guilty and sentenced him to eight and a half years in a general regime colony. He was also banned from working in the media for 4 years after his release. February 19, 2024, the Krasnodar Regional Court upheld the verdict.
