Case Description
In the occupied part of the Donetsk region, no later than January 2025, 36-year-old Ukrainian citizen and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Aleksandr Yevdokimenko fell into captivity to Russian soldiers. He was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, on November 19, 2024, Yevdokimenko, while at the Ukrainian Armed Forces training center, voluntarily joined the 48th Separate Assault Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan. Starting from November 22, 2024, until January 2, 2025, he participated in combat operations as a machine gunner in the area of the village of Makarovka. On September 25, 2025, the Southern Military District Court found Alexander Yevdokimenko guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in prison.
