"If There Was No War" is a database of people subjected to political persecution in Russia. We collect information about those whose criminal cases are used not to protect the law, but to suppress and intimidate society.
The list includes persecutions related to the war against Ukraine: cases against anti-war activists, journalists, conscientious objectors, charges for words and publications, for helping Ukraine, as well as fabricated cases and repressions disguised as combating extremism and terrorism.
We believe that the crime is not resistance to war, but the war itself. It must be outlawed, and all political prisoners must be freed.
