Alexander Perov, a 53-year-old local resident, was detained in St. Petersburg on July 31, 2023. He threw two Molotov cocktails into the military enlistment office building on Tchaikovsky Street, and then tried to ram it with a car. Then a bank security service employee allegedly approached Perov, introducing himself as "German Aleksandrovich" and offering, according to preliminary information, to connect him with someone who could help in his trouble. And provided the suspect with the contact of "FSB officer Kolesnikov. Kolesnikov and proposed to carry out a provocation on Tchaikovsky in order to gain access to documents that, according to him, are allegedly sent to Ukraine from the military enlistment office. Initially, a case was opened against Perov under the article on intentional arson, but it was later reclassified as terrorism. On August 2, 2023, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent Perov into custody. On June 10, 2024, Alexander Perov was delivered from the pre-trial detention center to the hospital in a state of clinical death, but the doctors were unable to help - biological death was recorded an hour later. The cause of death is not reported. In St. Petersburg on August 1, 2023, around nine o'clock in the evening, an unknown person committed arson of the entrance door to the military commissariat located on Angliyskiy Prospekt, d. 2 lines. According to the security forces' version, on the afternoon of August 1, 2023, an unknown person contacted Kurbanova via WhatsApp and offered her 50,000 rubles to set fire to the door of the military enlistment office, to which she agreed. On the same day, the woman purchased gasoline and motor oil to make a flammable mixture, and in the evening, she arrived at the military enlistment office and set the door on fire. After committing the crime, she reported to the customer via a video call from the scene. The woman herself claims that she became a victim of fraudsters. Unknown individuals who introduced themselves as FSB and Investigative Committee employees first forced her to take out loans, and then promised to help her close them and pay her another 50,000 rubles. Arson of the military enlistment office was allegedly a plan to catch scammers, in case of refusal the "FSB agent" threatened that Kurbanov would be left with a debt of one million rubles. Before the election of a preventive measure, Kurbanova was placed in a temporary detention center. On August 3, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg placed Zhumagul under house arrest. The pensioner was initially accused of destroying someone else's property by arson. However, the prosecution then reclassified the charge to terrorism, resulting in significant property damage or other serious consequences. On February 14, 2024, the 1st Western Military District Court found Zhumagul Kurbanova guilty and sentenced her to 10 years in a general regime colony. The woman was taken into custody in the courtroom. On April 24, 2024, the Appellate Military Court changed the verdict, but it is unknown exactly how.
