Case Description
On January 30, 2025, in the city of Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Oblast, 35-year-old local resident Zafar Agamamedov was detained. He was accused of public calls for terrorism and carrying out extremist activities. The reason for the criminal prosecution was comments in the Telegram channel "Nevzorov" with "calls against the authorities, the details of the charges are unknown. Agamamedova was also accused of illegal cultivation of cannabis and trafficking of narcotic substances in large quantities. On January 31, 2025, the Kirovsky District Court of Irkutsk placed the defendant in the case under arrest. On September 1, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Zafar Agamamedov guilty and sentenced him to 8 years in a strict regime colony.
