Case Description
At the end of December 2024, a 47-year-old local resident, former novice of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra Yuri Nasakin, was detained in the village of Blagoveshchenie in the Sergiev Posad urban district of the Moscow region. Apparently, they came to search his apartment, after which the man was taken to the police station, where a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up against him under the article on disobedience to the lawful order of FSB officers in Moscow and the Moscow region. According to the protocol, Nasakin, during certain operational-search activities, refused to present documents confirming his identity and to follow to the duty unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sergiyev-Posadsky Urban District of the Moscow Region on December 27, 2024, Judge Yuliya Shiryaeva of the Sergiyev-Posad City Court of the Moscow Region ruled to send Nasakin under administrative arrest for 15 days. Following his sentence, Nasakin was charged with calls for terrorism. The reason for the accusation was comments that the man left in the Telegram channel of the "Freedom of Russia" legion, expressing "support for those who defend Ukraine, since was negative about the SVO and was shocked by the scale of casualties and destruction.
