Case Description
Residents of the village of Samarino in the Azov district of the Rostov region detained 62-year-old local resident Yuri Ishenko on March 15, 2024, on the first day of voting in the 2024 Putin elections, at polling station No. 120. According to law enforcement, the man poured a green-colored liquid into the ballot box. Initially, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened against the pensioner for obstructing the exercise of electoral rights or the work of election commissions, but in the end, a protocol on an administrative offense for petty hooliganism was drawn up against Ishenko. On March 17, 2024, the Azov City Court of the Rostov Region sentenced Yuri Ishenko to 2 days of administrative arrest.
