В Макеевке оккупированной части Донецкой области не позднее февраля 2024 года возбудили уголовное дело о публичных призывах к терроризму против местного жителя, гражданина Украины Юрия Бороненко. Дата его задержания неизвестна. Подробности обвинения и избранная мера пресечения неизвестны.
19 апреля 2024 года Южный окружной военный суд признал Юрия Бороненко виновным, размер наказания неизвестен. Приговор не был обжалован и вступил в законную силу.
