Case Description
In the village of Pakhomovo, Zaoksky District, Tula Region, at the end of August 2023, a criminal case was opened against Ukrainian citizen Yulia Tishchenko for public calls to carry out activities aimed against the security of the Russian Federation, using the media or the Internet. According to the investigation, from September 20 to November 29, 2022, the Ukrainian woman was in the Zaoksky district of the Tula region and posted a text in Ukrainian on her Facebook page calling for funding for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On August 30, the Central District Court of Tula sent Yulia Tishchenko to a pre-trial detention center. 13 December 2023, the Aleksinsky Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region found Yulia Tishchenko guilty and sentenced her to four years in a general regime colony and deprivation of the right to administer websites for three years. The verdict was not appealed and came into force.
