Case Description
In November 2024, in the Zabaykalsky Krai, a criminal case was initiated against Junior Sergeant of the RF Armed Forces, soloist of the military orchestra Yulia Podyonitsyna, for spreading fakes about the army. According to the investigation, Podoynitsyna, trying to prove the presence of victims among the civilian population of Ukraine as a result of Russian shelling, published a video from YouTube in the work chat, which spoke about the victims among the civilian population. The woman was placed under a written undertaking not to leave during the investigation. On December 9, 2024, the Borzinsky Garrison Military Court found Yulia Podyonitsyna guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 3 million. rubles. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
