Case Description
Yulia Morozova (Khabarova), a 37-year-old resident of Magadan, was sentenced to two years of probation with a two-year probationary period in a case involving repeated discrediting of the army (part 1, article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason was two of her comments left under posts in the Telegram channel "Ves Magadan" back in 2023: - "Someday, we will all be held accountable for these bastards in power. I agree to pay reparations to Ukraine, but only their close relatives, who cannot be brought back. I am ashamed of all this bullshit." - "Some people here are so primitive... you still haven't understood anything? you don't understand that our people are being sent to senseless slaughter in this war? you write some bullshit about sending migrants first? doesn't it bother you, you fucking idiots, that the question is, why fight at all and send people to their deaths?! and it doesn't matter what nationality they are? are you idiots? my whole family, starting with my grandmother and grandfather, are military, they all shouted in unison, God forbid we see war again. you have no brains, read history, especially about Hitler's Nazism. after reading this, you will all understand what is happening now." Prior to this, in 2022, a Magadan resident was fined 30 thousand rubles in an administrative case for "discrediting" the RF Armed Forces (part 1, article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The woman is involved in volunteer work helping abandoned animals. In 2020, she was a candidate for deputy of the Magadan City Duma from the CPRF, but then lost the election to the United Russia candidate.
