Case Description
In St. Petersburg on June 19, 2025, 47-year-old local resident Yaroslava Chumakova was detained. The FSB published a video showing a woman being detained by people in civilian clothes and masks. They forcibly pushed her into an unmarked car. Chumakov was accused of aiding in the commission of a terrorist act. According to the investigation, she was collecting information about the places of residence and vehicles of Ministry of Defense employees and their family members to prepare for subsequent terrorist attacks. Law enforcement officers reported that she is suspected of collaborating with Ukrainian special services. The Krasnogvardeysky Court of St. Petersburg sent her to a pre-trial detention center.
