Muratov Yaroslav Andreevich

No later than November 3, 2024, in the city of Kasimov, Ryazan region, local resident Yaroslav Muratov, 29, was detained. He was accused of treason, participating in the activities of a terrorist community, undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, and preparing for a terrorist attack by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. On November 3, 2024, the defendant manufactured three incendiary devices according to received instructions for arson of one of the Ryazan military commissariats on National Unity Day and equipped a cache for them. He did not have time to implement his plan, as he was detained by law enforcement officers. The defendants in the case were placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. 29 January 2026, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Yaroslav Muratov guilty and sentenced him to 18 years imprisonment, with the first 4 years to be served in prison and the remainder in a strict regime penal colony.
