Case Description
Presumably, in December 2022, a criminal case was initiated in Birobidzhan for justifying terrorism and calls for extremism against 36-year-old Yaroslav Kusakin. The details of the charges are unknown. For the duration of the investigation, the court placed Kusakin in a pre-trial detention center. On November 17, 2023, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Yaroslav Kusakin guilty and sentenced him to 3 years in a general regime colony. On May 21, 2024, the Appellate Military Court upheld the sentence.
