Case Description
On May 15, 2025, in Krasnodar, 29-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Yan Gaupt was detained. According to the most likely scenario, after the detention, the man was taken to Ust-Labinsk, where a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up against him under the article on disobedience to the lawful order of a law enforcement officer. According to police reports, the man "while being taken to the patrol car, interfered with the performance of official duties, waved his arms, offered active physical resistance, tried to provoke a fight and escape by running away." 19 May 2025, Judge Konstantin Salalukin of the Ust-Labinsk District Court of the Krasnodar Territory sentenced a Ukrainian citizen to 15 days of administrative arrest. On May 29, 2025, Gauptu was charged with committing a terrorist act, illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition, and improper impact on critical information infrastructure of Russia. The details of the charges are unknown. Later that day, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar placed the man in a remand prison at the request of the investigation.
