Case Description
In April 2022, in the Perm Territory, photographer Yakov Ovchinnikov was brought to administrative responsibility. As the investigation claims, the man discredited the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. A criminal case was opened in June 2023. According to the investigation, he again discredited the Russian army. Yakov Ovchinnikov himself sold his apartment last November and left Russia. His sister and nephew were summoned for questioning at the Center for Countering Extremism. A search was conducted in the former Perm apartment. The man was put on federal wanted list.
