Case Description
In March 2022, the FSB reported the detention of Vyacheslav Mamukov, a resident of Khabarovsk. According to the service, the detained individual had access to information about critically important Russian infrastructure, constituting a state secret, due to his professional activities. Mamulov anonymously offered the Ukrainian special services through the internet to provide information for money, which could be used to the detriment of the security of the Russian Federation, including for carrying out sabotage acts." A criminal case was opened against him for treason and he was sent to a pre-trial detention center. On September 14, 2022, Judge Andrei Laletin of the Khabarovsk Regional Court found Vyacheslav Mamukov guilty and sentenced him to 12 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a strict regime penal colony and with a 1-year restriction of freedom." On April 19, 2023, the verdict of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation was left unchanged.
