Case Description
In Novosibirsk, local resident Vyacheslav Kupriyanov was detained no later than February 2025. He was accused of justifying terrorism and calling for activities against the security of Russia. According to the investigation, the man opposed the conduct of the "SVO" and posted comments on the Internet aimed at justifying terrorism, as well as containing calls for financial assistance to Ukraine. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On July 30, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Vyacheslav Kupriyanov guilty and sentenced him to 5.5 years in a general regime colony. On October 29, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the verdict unchanged.
