Case Description
Vyacheslav Gorbarsky, a 58-year-old local resident, was detained in July 2024 in the village of Nekrasovsky, Dmitrovsky district, Moscow region. He was accused of inciting hatred or enmity, as well as of using violence against a representative of the authorities. According to the investigation, Gorbarsky published comments against the President of the Russian Federation on 'Odnoklassniki'. The details of the charges are unknown. July 24, 2024, Dmitrov City Court of the Moscow Region chose a preventive measure for Vyacheslav Gorbarsky in the form of detention. Earlier, he had twice been brought to administrative responsibility for inciting hatred or enmity and displaying Nazi symbols. According to the materials of administrative cases, in 2023 and 2024 he posted publications on the social network "VKontakte" in which, in particular, he called the President of the Russian Federation a "political prostitute, and also demonstrated Nazi symbolism, including a swastika made from St. George ribbons." On October 17, 2024, the Dmitrov City Court of the Moscow Region found Vyacheslav Gorbarsky guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown. On January 9, 2025, the Moscow Regional Court left the verdict unchanged.
