On March 7, 2025, in the city of Gusev, Kaliningrad region, 29-year-old member of the Kaliningrad Bar Association Vladislav Zavgorodny was detained on charges of public calls for terrorism. As the investigation claims, in October 2024, Zavgorodny "posted a comment in a public chat of one of the messengers calling for the commission of terrorist activities. The content of the comment was not disclosed by law enforcement, but Kaliningrad lawyers informed the "Word of Defense" project that in it Zavgorodny expressed regret that a Ukrainian drone during one of the strikes on Russian territory did not hit representatives of the country's top leadership. The court sent the man to a pre-trial detention center. On August 13, 2025, the Baltic Fleet Military Court found Vladislav Zavgorodny guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 390 thousand. rubles and a restriction on the right to administer internet resources for 2 years. The defendant in the case was released in the courtroom. November 19, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
