Case Description
In February 2024, in the city of Engels, Saratov Oblast, a criminal case was initiated against 22-year-old local resident Vladislav Ryazanov on charges of terrorism and extremism incitement. According to the FSB, Ryazanov held radical views and actively distributed through his Telegram messenger account materials justifying terrorist activities and provided support to the pro-Ukrainian organizations "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the "Freedom of Russia" legion. The court chose house arrest as a preventive measure for the man. On September 24, 2025, the Central Military District Court found Vladislav Ryazanov guilty and sentenced him to 5.5 years in a general regime colony. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom. February 5, 2025, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
