On May 2023, a criminal case was initiated against local resident Vladislav Mokrousov in Ryazan on charges of justifying terrorism and spreading "fake news" about the Russian army. According to the prosecution, Mokrousov, under the pseudonym "Vova Kopeykin, wrote in the "Russian Spring" group on VKontakte about the rocket attack on a kindergarten by the Russian army." 1. Daria, hold on! "On May 6, 2023, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ryazan chose Mokrousova's measure of restraint in the form of detention. On June 30, the court released Mokrousov from custody, denying the investigation's request to extend his arrest and imposing a ban on certain actions as a measure of restraint. A month later, on July 31, the court again granted the prosecution's motion and sent the Ryazan resident to the pre-trial detention center. On November 1, he was again placed under house arrest. On March 20, 2024, the 2nd Western Military District Court terminated the case against Vladislav Mokrousov and ordered the man to be sent for compulsory treatment. The court's decision was not appealed and entered into legal force.
