Case Description
In Moscow in December 2024, a 42-year-old citizen of Ukraine, Russia, and Israel, a hacker and former carder known by the nickname BadB, who served a seven-year sentence in an American prison, Vladislav Khorokhorin, was detained. He was accused of treason. The details of the charges are unknown. On December 13, 2024, Lefortovo District Court of Moscow placed the man in custody. Pro-Kremlin news agencies call Khorokhrin the 'ideologue of cyberattacks on infrastructure facilities of the Russian Federation, websites of state agencies, and Russian citizens.'", According to the allegations, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Khorokhorin engaged in DDoS attacks on Russian internet resources, called for violence against Russians, and offered to install malware for money within Russian organizations.
