В Москве в конце сентября 2024 года по обвинению в государственной измене задержали Владимира Вакулова.
По версии силовиков, мужчина, имея гражданство Российской Федерации, в период проведения «специальной военной операции» совершал боевые действия на стороне ВСУ. Подробности обвинения неизвестны.
27 сентября 2024 года Мещанский районный суд Москвы избрал мужчине меру пресечения в виде заключения под стражу.
26 февраля 2026 года Московский областной суд признал Владимира Вакулова виновным и назначил ему наказание в виде лишения свободы на 15 лет с отбыванием наказания в колонии строгого режима, с ограничением свободы на 1,5 года.
