Case Description
In early September 2025, Vladimir Sorokin, a 66-year-old lawyer and member of the local branch of the Yabloko party, was detained in Kaliningrad. He was accused of financing extremist activities. Charges were brought against him for donating to Alexei Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation. According to law enforcement, on November 18, 2021, Sorokin transferred 500 rubles to FBK. Before the election of a preventive measure, the lawyer was placed in a temporary detention isolator. On September 7, 2025, Olga Minakova, a judge of the Central District Court of Kaliningrad, imposed a measure of restraint on the case participant in the form of a ban on certain actions: Sorokin was prohibited from using a phone and the Internet.
