Case Description
Volodymyr Rumyantsev worked as a stoker, was fond of radio and even made his own radio "Vovan" before the war, which he used to retransmit music and radio plays, and after the war he began transmitting audio tracks from opposition bloggers' and media videos over the airwaves. Vladimir was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony for "public dissemination of knowingly false information about the actions of the Russian armed forces." In court, he admitted that he had streamed opposition content but stated that he did not consider it a crime. In order to evaluate the actions of the authorities, a person must receive some information, not just official information. Regarding the official version - life has already taught me not to trust it, Rumyantsev said in court.
