Case Description
In the Moscow region in January 2015 (the exact date is unknown), former deputy director of the Moscow region military company "Typhoon" Vladimir Litvinov was detained at the airport while attempting to fly to Vietnam." "During the search, two flash drives were seized from him, on which, allegedly, there was a document containing state secrets. A criminal case of treason was opened against Litvinov. According to the version of the security forces, the man tried to transfer information constituting a state secret to a certain foreign state. The details of the charges are unknown. The court sent Litvinov to a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On January 27, 2016, the Moscow Regional Court found Vladimir Litvinov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime colony. 25 May 2016, the Supreme Court of Russia left the sentence unchanged.
