Case Description
In April 2024, in the Bryansk region, a 39-year-old local resident Vladimir Erofeev was detained. He was accused of inciting a serviceman to voluntarily surrender to captivity. According to the investigation, at the end of May 2023, Erofeev, maintaining SMS correspondence with a serviceman participating in the special military operation, by persuasion and persuasion inclined the latter to voluntarily surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On April 24, 2024, Vyzhnitsky District Court of the Bryansk Region chose a measure of restraint for the man in the form of detention. On 25 June 2024, the Vygonichsky District Court of the Bryansk Region found Vladimir Yerofeyev guilty and sentenced him to three years in a general regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
