On August 27, 2025, in Reutov, Moscow Region, security forces kidnapped 37-year-old musician Vladimir Bolobolov right on the street. According to Bololobov's own testimony, security forces brought him to a basement where they tortured him. The next day, on August 28, FSB officers brought Vladimir to his apartment, where they conducted a search and showed a homemade explosive device in the form of a power bank, which they allegedly found at his home. On the night of August 28-29, 2025, Bolobolov was tortured again at an unknown location. On August 29, 2025, Vladimir woke up at the Dorogomilovo district police station in Moscow, where he was forced to sign an administrative report under the article on petty hooliganism and was released. According to police reports, on August 30, 2025, at half past one in the morning, Bololobov, being in a public place, swore obscenities, waved his arms, was indignant, attracted passing citizens with his behavior, and did not respond to repeated demands from police officers. On the same day, August 30, the musician was able to return home, with signs of torture and in psychological shock. On September 1, 2025, Vladimir went to the hospital for an examination after torture, on the advice of a lawyer. He was detained again and taken to the Dorogomilovo District Department of Internal Affairs of Russia upon leaving the hospital. The next day he was escorted to court. On 2 September 2025, Judge Sergey Kashirin of the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow sentenced the musician to 15 days of arrest. September 16, 2025, Bolobolov was detained again upon leaving the temporary detention facility and placed in a temporary detention center. 17 September, the Investigative Department of the Balashikha Police Department opened a criminal case against Vladimir for illegal storage of explosives. According to the investigation, no later than February 2023, Bolobolov established contact with an unknown person who passed him the coordinates of a cache with explosives."
