In March 2024, 17-year-old student Victoria Sonina was detained in the city of Dankov, Lipetsk region. According to law enforcement officials, the girl wanted to set fire to the local military enlistment office. Allegedly, on March 13, she made several Molotov cocktails, intending to set fire to the military commissariat on Karl Marx Street the next day, but she was detained. On March 21, 2024, the Investigative Committee's Main Investigative Department for the Lipetsk Region opened a criminal case against Viktoria for preparing a terrorist attack. The girl was sent to the Lipetsk Regional Psychiatric Hospital for inpatient psychiatric examination. Later, the charges were toughened: the defendant was accused of planning a terrorist attack, participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, calling for terrorism, and cruelty to animals. The details of the charges are unknown. On April 19, 2024, the Dankovsky City Court of the Lipetsk Region placed the girl under arrest. 13 May 2025, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Victoria Sonina guilty and sentenced her to imprisonment, the length of the sentence is unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
