Case Description
In early March 2023, in Kakhovka, occupied Zaporizhzhia region, 23-year-old local resident and Ukrainian citizen Victoria Kletchenko left her home and disappeared. Three days later, the girl returned - it turned out that she had been held by Russian special services. On March 25, Victoria disappeared again, and the FSB of the Russian Federation came to the Kletchenko parents' house with a search and confiscated all gadgets. The parents were not informed of their daughter's whereabouts. Ten days later, Viktoria's mother received a call from an investigator in Rostov-on-Don who said her daughter was in the local SIZO." Victoria was held by the FSB in Kakhovka all this time, and then taken to the Rostov region. The girl was accused of espionage. According to the version of Russian security forces, Victoria collected data on the deployment of Russian servicemen and Russian military equipment in occupied Kakhovka and passed it on to Ukrainian special services. October 6, 2023, the Rostov Regional Court found Victoria Kletchenko guilty and sentenced her to 10 years in a general regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
